The first ever meeting of GCBN will take place tomorrow (Thursday 25th) at 7.30pm in the Clayton Hotel, Galway. The intention is to have a very relaxed and informal meeting where people can mingle, network, and hopefully discuss business issues. However relaxed and informal can sometimes mean unstructured and tedious so we are going to put a little bit of effort into making it somewhat productive and informative. There will be two speakers giving a 10 minute presentation each with 5 minutes for Q&A, and I will make an effort to talk about the group and where I see it going for 5 minutes or so. Everyone will have an opportunity to do a 1 minute elevator pitch if they so desire.
The turnout for this is 20 or so confirmed, and I’d optimistically expect the same again at least. Making 40 contacts in a small city like Galway is a big deal and it would be great if you could forward this message to friends and colleagues around the city. Please do so now before you forget.
